Parent account data: Email address, used to create and manage your account. Display name, optional, used to personalise your experience. Subscription status, whether you are on a free or premium plan.
Child data: First name, used to personalise the app experience. Date of birth (month and year only), used to determine the appropriate question level and update it automatically as your child grows. Avatar selection, the character your child chooses. Quiz answers and session results, used to power the adaptive engine and your parent dashboard. Streak and score data, used to track progress over time. Onboarding preferences, your stated goals, motivation style and learning attitude for your child.
Technical data: Device crash reports, collected via Sentry for the purpose of fixing bugs. Push notification tokens, used to send you and your child reminders.
We use the data we collect exclusively to provide and improve the Thriveo service. Specifically: to create and manage your account; to personalise your child's quiz sessions using the adaptive engine; to display progress on your parent dashboard; to send session reminders via push notification; to process your subscription via RevenueCat; to fix crashes and bugs using anonymised crash reports.
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your child's data for any purpose other than delivering the Thriveo service to your family.
Thriveo is designed for use by parents on behalf of their children. We take children's privacy extremely seriously. Parents create and manage all accounts, children do not create their own accounts. We collect only the minimum data needed to personalise your child's experience. We do not collect children's email addresses. We do not serve advertising to children. We do not share children's data with third parties for marketing purposes. Children's quiz answers and session data are stored securely and used only to power the adaptive engine and your parent dashboard. If you wish to delete your child's data, you can do so at any time from the Settings screen in the Thriveo parent app.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete all associated data including your children's profiles, session history and quiz answers within 30 days. You can delete your account at any time from Settings.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you and your children; correct any inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; object to processing; request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@thriveoapp.com. We will respond within 30 days.
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and access controls to protect your data. If you have concerns about the security of your account, contact us immediately at privacy@thriveoapp.com.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. The date at the top of this policy reflects when it was last updated.
